Hello, I just registered and would have read many of the posts and think they are very informative. I have a websites and wondering if anyone could help me out in increasing sales (by better SEO, obviously). Any advice is greatly appreciated. Any recommendations on getting guaranteed placement companies that WORK and are not spammers is also appreciated.
Thanks,

Stay away from Guaranteed placement companies, no one can guarantee you top placement in any search engine unless they use pay per click which you can do yourself. Anyone who guarantee you placement is lying and so not worth doing business with. My advice is to take a look at my sign few methods available for achieving prominent placement on the search engines, such as and .
MOD EDIT - Signature removed as not craft related
MOD Edit #2 - taken out some words....:)

As I am here to seek advice too so decided this would be the most appropriate place to ask. Well I do manage to make some crafts nothing of the sort with which I can boast around though. Pillow covers and some other stitched materials are the products I make. I was wondering how can I get into the craft shows and fairs as I do not know whether I stand a chance to figure in these events. Again it would help my cause if I can use these petty crafts of mine to earn me something from them, any advice or suggestions would help me somewhat.

Hi kkotak
Like you I'm new to this forum but I've had quite a bit of experience of craft fairs.
I would advise you to visit as many craft fairs as you can and see what sort of things are on sale and the quality level of them to compare with your work.
Don't decry your own ability but do try to make your own stuff look as professional as possible by paying attention to display and presentation.
When you do try selling at a craft fair don't just stand there waiting for customers. Talk to the people who visit your stall, tell them about your work and impress them with your enthusiasm.

Will somebody please count the moderators on this forum...............we have enough! Please, please, stop with the back seat modding! It only serves to upset people and make an unhappy forum. There won't be many more warnings about this, we are mods because we - believe it or not - can be diplomatic when needed, and hit the ban button when needed. Play nicely. :)

(welcome) to the forum, I hope you find the advice you need. It's good adivce to pop along to the 'introduce yourself' section and say hi, this helps us to get to know who you are and what you do. Kkotak, I would definitely say that's good advice, visit some fairs and definitely hang around here...there are always new fairs being advertised and you might find a local one to get involved in. Any (welcome) all newcomers and enjoy the forum.
