We have finally opened!!!!!

Woohoo my shop in Clare finally opened its doors to the public yesterday morning :mf: For the past week we had a little note in the shop window saying opening 10th May so we were working like mad to get it all ready in time. Lots of long days putting finishing touches (and on Thursday evening one of the window panes cracked so Friday we were replacing that!). Moved all the stock in on Friday and 3 of us were hanging up hooks and products til 5am on Saturday morning!!! After 2 hours sleep me and John were back to price up more products and finally open the doors at 10am.

Had quite a few people in and didn't do too bad considering the only advertising was the little note in the window. Will try to get some piccies loaded later today so you can all see the finished look.

Great Natty you must be totally exhausted though but I bet it is so good seeing the fruits of your labours so to speak.

Well done, i'm so pleased for you. What will your opening hours be?
I definately think you should start up a little village craft group, get people in in the evenings for a cuppa and crafting, and they will spread the word around and of course buy products from you! Will be seeing you over the summer i'm sure, on a nice little day out to Clare!!

Absolutely, I'm loving talking to customers and discussing card making it's such fun :mf: and Clare is such a lovely place I've had people just popping their heads through the door to wish me luck as well as crafters (and non-crafters) coming in. Already had my first repeat customer :) and another lady who I helped choose bits for her first ever card on Saturday has just popped in to tell me she loved making it, her friend was thrilled with it and she'll definitely be back!

Thanks everyone for your good wishes and I'll hopefully post some piccies tonight (have some patience people ;)) as the first lot didn't come out very well so need to take some more. I'll start a new thread for them along with opening time details etc for any of you locals out there :)
