first of two new pen designs

First of two new designs i am going to add to my collections. What do people think? This one is made of Grenadill.

thanks for the positive feedback. i hope to post the second of my new designs today. this one will be made of Amaranth, a naturally coloured purple wood.

Looks like fiddly work, and surely it must be hard to get the curve at the top & bottom identical, mustn't it?

initial shaping is fairly straight forward even by hand using a skew. working towards the final finished dimensions is done by eye and touch and a little more involved. there is no real room for error at this point. glad you like it.
