where do you get your icons?

hi all, I just wondered where you get the icons by your names as they are so interesting, eg there is a chicken, a sexy candle maker, teddies and more ???

My original thumbnail (avatar) was just a picture of one of my candles that I uploaded.

Hi there,
thanks for replies earlier & I have been trying to upload a picture from my PC but it tells me upload failed even though it looks like I'm within the pixel size, failing that I can't figure out how to insert from the clip art pics either, can anyone help me please or I'll have to call hubby, cheers

at last I get a picture, edit it in photo draw but you haven't got a clue as to what it is. have to keep trying for a short while longer.

me again, I actually managed to get a picture for members profile of koalas in Oz but I couldn't manage the avatar. After spending nearly 2 hrs on it I had to call hubby. He did get a picture for me from clip art but it's not what I want but it will do for now. I must close the PC down now or I won't sleep tonight as it will keep going through my head. hope I'm not the only one who has times like this, good night all.

I've been on this forum since Moses went to school, and I still can't load a picture from an external site! Everything I put on is an 'attachment'.......................it's been explained, but I must have a mental block on common sense. :D

Hi all & thanks for replies about avatars & pictures next to names. My hubby told me clip art was probably the best idea as there aren't so many pixels so I trawled through the free clip art & hey presto new avatar, just hope everyone can see it. Thanks again for answers & I too will miss the scraggy even though I've only been here a couple of weeks, cheers Linda
