So have you seen the news? A 500lb WW2 bomb has been found on the beach. They are going to take it out to sea tomoro and bblow it up but till then...
I live literally 100 yds from the edge of the evacuation zone...
Part of me thinks it's been there all theat time and hasn't gone off so whats another night?
But part of me wants to get in my lorry and get the hell outta here..
Hubbie has just taken some gloves and a flask of coffee to the police men that are at the end of the road..
So what do you think shhould we stay or should we go?

Golly that sounds serious.

I reckon if the police think you`re safe then stick to their plan BUT sometimes it`s important to follow your nose. If you feel you should go, then go!

Nice of your other half to take some coffee out!

Bet your road is on the news. Off to take a look!

MMmm I agree with Creativeclare. The police don't take chances on these things so I am sure you are safe. it has been there for so long I don't think you have anything to worry about. we had our own in nearby Coventry recently but I'm sure yours is bigger!!

If you dont want to move out you could always spend the night wrapped up in a thick eiderdown under a table in the spirit of WWII (well thats what my mum said they did in the war..:D)

Feeling safer now we have seen the bomb disposal men are staying at the b&b just 4 doors away....
and on the plus side, the ice cream shop is just outside the evacuation zone on the other side to me tho so once i've done the 15 minute drive around the outside..(when it usually takes me 5 mins to cycle along the prom to work).. think of all those tv crew, police men, general nosy people that will be wanting to come in for hot chocolates or ice cream tomorrow!!!!

At least the bomb disposal chaps can take it out to sea to explode it... not like when we had our little bit of drama in Cov city centre last month... Enjoy being busy with the ice creams!

"we'll probably do it tomorrow" indeed.....they sound like blokes promising they'll cut the lawn or empty the bin! :playball:

Glad you felt safer knowing the Danger UXB Men were in the B&B a few doors down, that sounded like a good sign

Indri where do you get your smilies, he's so cute!

Bet they're embarrassed!! They've certainly had a bit of a ribbing on the local radio today!! they are looking and looking poor loves.
Apparently the strong currents have washed it away. (Dosn't it weigh about 1/2 a ton?)
Haha
