Last night i was being creative in the kitchen and cooked a curry. It tasted great. My eldest son did the washing up etc.
This morning when I woke up I could smell curry!. it's gone all the way through the house because eldest son didn't bother to empty the bin.
When i walked back into the house after the school run it really hit me.
I've got a client coming round for a fitting tonight.... How can I get rid of the smell. I've tried burning joss sticks and now I think I've made it worse.

Maybe some oust?
And opening all the windows (you might need to put some extra jumpers on though if it's anything like Manchester! Brrr!)
Or, do some baking! Then your house will smell luuurvely, which is a very inviting scent!

Try mixing a little of your favourite fabric conditioner with some water and put in a bottle that you can spray with ( I use an old spray cleaner bottle ). Give everything a good spray, it won't damage carpets or furnishings and it freshens everything up without the chemical smells of air freshners.
Hope this helps

Burning unscented candles is supposed to get rid of smells. 'Spose scented ones would work too.
I use those plug-in air-fresheners but ones with scents like 'cotton' so they aren't too overpowering and flowery.
I know it's cold but open some windows like peggyprints said.
Don't panic.
You've still got all afternoon. :D

Have you tried the Neautradol (S?) airfresheners?
They do one that you put on the carpet (like shake n vac) and a spray, also ones that are those jelly airfreshners. It's as the name suggests a neutrol smell....
I used to use it when i had my doggie (:( don't need them anymore) as i was paranoid of doggie smells.

Windows
Candles
Coffee beans - grind some and put some in the oven, replace curry smell with coffee smell (don't burn them though)
You can get cooks candles, I think Lakeland sells them, burn them after cooking very smelly food like kippers.

It was always a problem with vinegar when my mum made chutneys... we just lived in it for a few days and either got used to it or it went away.

I don't really know what to suggest apart from open the windows!
maybe a raw onion cut in half, that's supposed to absorb the smell of new paint, so might work! won't cost much to try!
shake 'n vac............. don't use it here as all tiled floors, but remember using some years ago, in our small flat. oh yes, it left a fresh smell alright, ecept that for days, the place smelt like there was a dozen people permanently smoking marijuana! and no one was! no one would believe us , very embarassing!

I've only just read this so might be too late....have you still got your heating on? Put some essential oils on a cloth and wipe your radiaters over with it! I had a similar problem and this worked a treat...sorry if I'm too late to help! Good luck!
