With all the horror stories about copying designs flying around the world of blogdom at the moment I have a happier tale to tell.
I emailed the lady who designed the Silly Girls (http://www.flickr.com/photos/23202798@N04/2373388823/in/set-72157603799215659/)I made to enquire about using her designs and...
'the lady from Del Monte she said YES'.
For a very small fee I can buy the rights to her designs and produce them to sell in the UK. Yay!!! Could these be my first items to go on etsy?...

That`s good news. Copyright is a mine field and quite rightly so.
I have to be very careful with copyright on embroidery designs. I know there are an awful lot of "free" designs on the internet but you can never establish the providence of them so I buy them. With the pound being so strong against the dollar, I get good deals in the USA and then have them emailed over.
Another hurdle out of the way, eh??

Sadly it's not them, it's the 'boggle-eyed primitive dolls' :0) that I've had the OK for. Have also emailed the belly dancer doll lady but I'm not as hopeful on that score. Will just have to keep everything crossed.
