Hi everyone

I have got my website up and running now and I would appreciate any comments you have on the content, layout or anything.

I've not really started doing the marketing / publicity yet so I haven't made any sales through my website. I'm hoping to get this underway soon!!

Any thoughts or comments you have would be much appreciated.

Have a nice Monday everyone

Helen :)

totally agree with sha, and sue.nice colour, welcoming, and friendly.

However (apart from on the motorbike clock) no mention of P& P charges, or how you package your paintings. ( and don't forget, that not everyone lives in the UK, so need to say whether post overseas or not, etc..)

I also feel a little more description is needed with the paintings. what medium is it? what size? only needs a few words, like oil on canvas 30cm x 20cm as an example.

You also mention being able to offer lots of other items, flower pots, framed pictures, bookmarks, photo frames, etc. It would be nice to see some examples, and an indication of price. i appreciate the latter is difficult with commissioned work of your type, but a rough guide, ie from £.....

I realise your site is a work in progress,so you've probably got all the above on a to do list already!

Looking good so far! well done!

A lovely website, easy to negotiate.

I would agree with others here that there needs to be some mention of medium... are your pictures prints, oils, acrylics, are they on paper, canvas, are they framed, etc. Are the clocks hand-painted on wood? or are they prints on card? Do they have glass on them? if I was buying, I'd want to know these things.

These questions would be easily answered with a few words on each image, or at the top of each gallery.

Good luck with the new site!

Thanks everyone, for all your nice comments and handy tips!

I've done quite a lot of updating this week so if anybody has time for another look do feel free. Also, I've started my new etsy shop, although it only has one thing in it so far :p

I've decided to just get on with making things for the next few weeks, then concentrate again on doing some marketing & publicity when I have some more stuff.

Though chances are I'll spend most of my free time reading this forum!! heehee

It's looking good!

I think the postage is a littlebit confusing:

How much is the postage and packing?

Cost (per item)United Kingdom £5Europe (excluding UK) £8Rest of World £10
These costs are the same if you are buying more than one item, as long as they are bought at the same time. They will be packaged and sent together.

You state cost per item,in the boxes, but the spiel underneath implies to me that if 2 or more items are purchased at the same time , the postage would still only be £5 to UK/£8 europe etc. Is that correct? Either way it needs some clarification!

Just need a few piccies now of your other bits and bobs ( flower pots/picture frames etc and you're there!

ps..why the name Peggy's prints? you don't sell prints but original artwork?

Had a quick look at your site. I love your use of colour, its a really welcoming easy to look at website.

Just one thing - do you want to mention anything about copyright. My friend is an artist and she had a bit of trouble last year with someone reproducing one of her paintings without asking!. Just a thought!!.
