So, I have just posted my latest blog entry but I wanted to know if I'm doing something wrong. Anyone who uses Blogger - is it better to upload your images first and then add your text around them afterwards, or do you add your pix as you go along. I've been doing the latter but every time a picture is uploaded it messes up the layout and spacing of the text and I have to go back and reshuffle it all. It's a right pain in the proverbial.

i find the same happens to me too, so now, always upload my images first, then do the type.

plus, i usually just load my images centrally, if you do it to the left or right, it can mess up the layout, it may look ok on your own pc, but through a different browser, on a different pc, can be completely different

Hi!

Well I type my text first and then upload a picture. you can change the layout of your post tho, so the picture can be where you want it to be...when you click on the upload image icon, the box appears for your to browse for you image, just below the add image bit (in the same box)is the bit where you can choose a layout for your text and picture...

I hope that helps! doesn't sound too intelligent tho! lol

I write all my posts in word now. Then C&P from the bottom of the word doc upwards (so that the images go in backwards).
This still adds gaps though :mad:

I tend to load my pictures first too now and, if more than one, try to remember to do it in reverse order - then I put my text in

I do my text first and then upload the images.

Then I click on the image when it's uploaded and drag it to where I want it to be.

Thanks guys. Some food for thought when I write today's post. How's that for positive thinking?! :0) Just need to get off the PC and go and do something interesting to write about!

I don't do it in any order but shuffle it around later, seams to work most of the time though occasionally it won't do as its told! then i sulk and throw something at the screen LOL!

A fabulous blog, ethel&edna, that is something to aspire to when I eventually start mine. It's really interesting, with colourful pics and probably just enough personal stuff thrown in too.
