Is it still this Sunday British Summertime's supposed to be beginning? Or have they postponed it? :p

Just thought I'd remind everyone about Springing your clocks and watches forward tomorrow night if so - well, Sunday morning really

Oh I loathe it when the clocks go forward as I'll lose an hour of my precious weekend :frusty:

Aw but it does mean the lighter brighter hopefully sunnier days are coming! :)

I like to put my clock forward the night before then I feel really naughty cos I've stayed up even later than normal and I dont miss the lost hour the next morning that way

An easy way to remember which way the clocks go 'Spring forward, Fall back'. That's the only way I remember!

We are going to London on Sunday for my brother-in-law's birthday lunch, so I really could do without having a shortage of sleep with losing an hour!!!!

LOL Sprinkles!

I am so glad the clocks are going forward, I love the long light evenings. Although not so good for me on sunday morning, I keep waking up early at the moment, averaging about 5am, so this means its gonna be 4!! :o

Yes I hate the idea of losing an hours sleep!! I just said to hubby that from next week we will be able to go for a walk when he gets home from work and lose a bit of weight for our hols!!! We are at the moment chomping on our last Easter Egg and drinking red wine. We must have been through ten Easter eggs because I kept buying them early for relatives and we lept eating them, then I'd go out and replace them and off we'd go again. I am ashamed!!! Five weeks to go before we go away with my sister and her hubby so from Monday next we are on a health drive!! No sweet stuff and wine only on a Saturday night. Uuugh!!!! It's got to be done!!! Glug, glug ooh that's nice!!! Cheers!! Sue xx:D

I much prefer it when the clocks go forwards... you don't lose an hours sleep...
I don't get why they change... I think I would prefer it to stay the same all year, it would be much easier and less likely for me to miss something (when they go forwards) or be there an hour early (when they go back)!!!

It always confuses me too. I love the light nights, though. It feels like you have so much more time.

LOL I'm 41 and it still confuses me whether I lose or gain or what?! :D

I just use the same saying as Swirly - spring forward, fall back - then I know where I'm going even if I dont know where I've been :p

Doh! I wish I'd seen this thread yesterday! And I must have been watching all the wrong TV channels! Didn't even see anything mentioned in the paper I read yesterday.

I only realised at 3pm that it should be 4pm!:mummy: which means I got up really much later than I thought I was this morning...:D

And in my panic I put the chicken in to cook an hour earlier because I got all confused about the time!!!

I got woken by the church bells at what I believed to be 8.45 and couldn't work out why. It then dawned on me that we'd forgotten to alter the clocks. It was really 1/4 to 10 and I was meant to be picking kiddie up from her first sleepover at 10.30. PANIC!!!!:mf:

Hope you have all caught up now. We had to make sure we changed all clocks last night as we were going to London for my brother-in-law's birthday lunch this morning. Would have been a shame to get to the train an hour late as tickets were booked on a specific train!!!!
