I have just redesigned my websites and registered on the uk craft directory. I would appreciate any feedback people have on the sites.

Hi,

I have one problem on with your site which is I have never seen your homepage flash screen...

Why...
I'm on 1Mbit broadband and after 5mins its still loading... how big its in in MBs...

2 reasons for the lack of speed..

1, the flash file is very big... (you should never excide 30k on the homepage)

2, the flash is 30k or under but your server is very slow...
I know this is not the case a the rest of your site is very fast...

I'd drop your present home page and go stright into http://www.candletastic.co.uk/home.html

Plus http://www.candletastic.co.uk/home.html is price on the search engines in conparision...

Homepage 0/10 (cant be bothered to wait more than 5 mins)

Rest of the site 7/10 (good site give a bit of a clean and it will top!..)


Ps please don't think i'm saying your site crap... but my advice is to please please lose the homepage or make its small....

I will look at either dropping the flash screen completly or making it smaller. :wink:
