Evening all,

I've been reading through the forum a lot lately and see that most of you appear to favour Etsy and YouCraftyLot above Ebay. I've had my Ebay shop for a while now and am beginning to find their fees are eating away at my sales prices to the extent it's putting me off using Ebay for much longer.

Tonight I decided to register on You Crafty Lot and got my first listing on there with no problems, but since then every item I try to list gets a message telling me that the photo is an invalid format. All of my pictures are JPEG format and I have even tried reducing the resolution to 320x200 to see if this works but I still get the same message.

Has anyone else had this problem? Or can you recommend a way round this? I've really no idea where I'm going wrong :(

As always, any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Laura x

On YCL you have to use their image resizer to resize your images (believe it or not! :p) to their specified size, then you upload these. There is a link at the bottom left column. This should hopefully solve your problems, if not you may need to speak to Hazel, the lady that runs it, she's lovely and always very helpful.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that's right although for some reason I have got away with not using the re-sizer! Hazel is very approachable and only too happy to help so don't hesitate to ask her for help.

Hi

I had the same problem. If you use the resizer on the bottom left it will do it for you, a new window will pop up after it has been resized, if you click on the photo you will be asked to open, save. I created a new folder called resized and saved them all on my hard drive. It worked after that. Hazel forwarded me some information on entering new items after she had seen I was having problems.

If this doesn't make sense (which I don't think it does) Hazels instructions are really easy to follow.

Thanks for your replies... I have had a look and now see where I need to resize my items and I've also had an email from Hazel, so hopefully over the weekend I'll be able to get time to list my items and hopefully begin making some sales.

Thanks again for all your help.
