Button Help

I would like to make some hair bobbles etc, and the ones I have seen that I would like to sort of copy are using aluminium cover buttons or something like that? Does anyone know of where I can buy these? You then cover them in fabric, so I believe, is this right? Does anyone on here make these? If so, could you explain to me the best way to make them, the different things you can make using fabric covered buttons etc. Thanks. :)

If you're interested, you can send me some of your fabric and I can cover buttons. They are shank style.
