Hello,

I am budgeting hard for a wedding and have decided that it should be cheaper to make my own invites etc, but when I look at craft sites they still end up with packs of everything adding up to as much as professionally printed cards - or maybe I am looking in all the wrong places.

I'd love to have a go at making my own cards but supplies seem to cost quite a lot. Paper sold in 10 sheets etc, folded cards at 10 for £4-£5 or so before you even start putting flowers etc on them means they still end up costing £1 or so each - and I have 150 cards to send out, so thats quite an expense really.

Are there any really cheap websites available for craft supplies so I can start having a go at cards etc in time for doing my wedding ones for next year?

Many thanks in advance of your help,

Faye x

The best site I have ever found (pricewise) for card is Craft Creations. They are FAB and I have used them loads of times. you'll need to google them as I can't post the URL yet - ALMOST THERE!!!!!!

Whereabouts are you? I found a shop in Wells, Norfolk that sells craft stuff really cheaply (like pack of 8 cards with envelopes for £1). It's called Little Prezzies. They also let someone look in their catalogue and ordered stuff in for a wedding, although she is very local!

Depending on the number of cards you want, and what colour you want, Mad about Card value card packs range from £3.29 for 50 cards and envelopes - good quality and good value. www.madaboutcards.co.uk (http://www.madaboutcards.co.uk). They have just added different colours and sizes. Worth looking at.

Thank you everyone for your information - how helpful is everyone here especially considering people are also trying to set up their own sites and businesses etc...

Thank you so very much - you have given me plenty to start digging away at as a start, thats great of you all.

Have you got The Range near you? They have an offer on 2 packs of 50 cards for £9 but when I paid for them they were £7.99!!! Plus they have brought out their own range with fancy edges which look really nice. Not sure of the quality (as can't really look with two kids who want to touch everything!) but if they are cheap enough you can get them and try!

Good luck!:D
