I'm going to change my website name to get rid of the TOGS bit.

I wanted just incywiny, but that's already taken.
So my ideas so far are ...

incywincystitches
incywincystitch
incywincythread

Which do you think best suits me and my website??

If you choose No. 4 please feel free to suggest something else :)

Thanks - that is my favourite ;)
But I also like thread, as it sounds like an incy wincy spiders web :)

Anyway - Need to find out how/if I can change my domain name first! Anyone ever done this through mrSite?

I think stitches looks like the most popular so far, I like it too!

I like stiches too..

I'm not 100% sure about changing, I think if you log in and go to the buy section I think you can buy a new name that way, or buy other names too!

I can just see all the little tiny stitches you are going to make as if made by little fairies and elves hehehe!!:D

I can see why you were tempted by threads though but I've also gone for stitches - sounds cute like Tip said - incy wincy stitches by incy wincy money spiders!

....now if you ever go into web design, you could have incywincywebs! :sm:

Another way of thinking about it is to think about what a word(s) web searcher might search when trying to find your products and then encorporate that word(s) into your web name.

For example I have just tried to search using Yahoo for 'Nursary Gifts'. I am sure this is a very popular search term. Your site is well beaten in the search results by the likes of mothercare etc...

If I then search for 'handmade nursary gifts' you appear 5th in the search results as you have that on your home and in your keywords etc...

This more narrow search phrase is easier to rank higher on.

It might be sensible to include words(s) in your webname that help your rankings in search engines?

For example handmadenurserygifts.co.uk is still available. I am not saying to use this but just to think about the keywords that you want to be associated with and maybe add them to your website name.

For my money the word 'nursery' seems much more relevant and strong for what you produce than 'stitches'. So incywincynurserygifts could be an option?

Just my thoughts and a few ideas to add to the mix.

Steve :):)

I liked the singular version of the word stitch... thread sounds dull in comparison to the other 2.

I like Incy Wincy Stiches, it has a nice ring to it.

If you were gonna go with Thread, I think Threads would be better.

Thanks for all your comments -

Steve - Totally understand where your coming from :) But I'm going to be moving away from the nursery/baby items as I have some new ideas.
incywincynurserygifts sound great though :p
And i'm suprised handmadenurserygifts.co.uk is still available!

Shaz- incywincy.com is a web search engine (i think) But I thought that would be a great graphic/web designers name.

Indri - thanks. I do like that too. But after speaking to some friends this morning I've decided to go for stitches. So I'm now the proud owner of another domain name and website (from the very basic MrSite!)
>>> incywincystitches.com

When I have a bit more money I will move away from MrSite, but for now it will do

:D VERY HAPPY :D

I just looked at your website and it worries me that your web name doesn't really make it clear that you are selling kids things. So I'm thinking more along the lines of incy wincey baby. Hope I'm not way off here!! Hope you come to the right decision.

Hi Sam. Bit slow off the mark as I've been at work all day but 'stitches' was definitely the best option. Keeps your options open for moving away from baby stuff as you've said you are planning to do. It made me think of tiny elves doing the stitching too. That whole idea of cute little things seems to sum your stuff up really well (better than my description!!). :0)
